You tap the Hulk on one big, green shoulder and say, “Hey, c’mon, we gotta go help the others out,” and the two of you take off in the direction of the rest of the team. As you’re running, you pass a crowd of ex-prisoners heading for the extraction point, but you don’t have time to look after them now - there’s safety in numbers, you tell yourself, and your friends need your help.

Steve nods breathlessly at you when you arrive, no time for reprimands even though you’re clearly breaking protocol; the others are too busy fighting, and the Hulk dives into the fiercest part of things without even a second’s thought. You’re really, really glad you brought him along, because he pretty much single-handedly turns the tide of battle, and it’s because of him that all of you are eventually able to make a break for the extraction point - together, this time, as a team, not just one or two of you. Coulson will have to forgive you for the breach of protocol; what matters to you is that your friends are safe.
