“Fine, fine,” you say, backing off with your hands up, “just hurry the hell up.” The moment you and Thor stop looking like you’re a few seconds away from murder, Sitwell takes off at a run, the Hulk thundering after him and taking care of close combat with not much finesse, but a high degree of effectiveness.

You only have a brief window of time to watch them, though, because the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicopter announces its arrival over the radio, then appears overhead, and you’re left half-nursemaid, half-soldier as you simultaneously shepherd prisoners toward the rope evacuation ladders and fight off enemies who try to break up the rescue effort.

Finally, it’s down to you and Thor on the ground, but you refuse to leave without your teammates. That’s why you’re still there when Sitwell gets back with Natasha in a fireman’s carry, followed by the Hulk with Steve over his shoulders and Tony cradled in his arms.
