The chopper comes back for you right around the time Bruce de-Hulks and you and Thor bash a couple of Hydra agents’ heads into one another, because let’s face it, you’re basically playing at this point, you’ve got this situation so under control. Sitwell is looking after Woo, but he appears to be relatively fine (other than the whole unconsciousness thing), so ‘looking after’ consists mainly of sitting beside him and not joining in the fun.
Once you’re aboard and flying away from the compound for the final time, you hear from Coulson that Steve’s going to be just fine as well. “I should note,” he continues, “that S.H.I.E.L.D. officially disapproves of the rash, risk-taking behaviours you all exhibited today.”
You don’t mind in the least. You know Coulson, and you know exactly what ‘official disapproval’ means, and you know that, deep down somewhere, he’s pretty freaking pleased with all of you right now.
“You did well, team,” he finally concedes, and you somehow resist the urge to tell him you knew it all along.
