           "No way," you say. "I'm due about fifty years of R&R, and today's my day to start cashing in. I'm still beat-up from that last mission." You figure there's no way you can look Fury in the eye and maintain your refusal, so you walk away. You feel like getting in some range time anyway.

You're drawing your bow when there's a light knock on the lane divider; when you turn to look, Phil Coulson is standing there, looking half-annoyed, half-apologetic.

"Hawkeye," he says, "Agent Woo is a good friend of mine, and I'd appreciate your presence on this mission."

Well, damn. The guy is actually being polite. You're kind of a sucker for politeness, and it's not often you get it from Phil Coulson.

"Finally getting some appreciation around here," you mutter, but what you mean is, yes, I'll do it.
